Extended strange metal and superconductivity in partially filled moir'e Hubbard bands

The study investigates twisted bilayer WSe2 to find an extended strange metal (ESM) and a new superconducting dome near half-filling away from the Mott insulator. Using the Hubbard model, researchers found that strong electronic correlations drive these states, suggesting they are intrinsic properties of the material rather than simple quantum criticality or electron-phonon pairing.
