Giant Spin-to-Charge Conversion by Tailoring Magnetically Proximitized Topological Dirac Semimetal
Researchers studied spin-momentum-locked topological Dirac semimetals (TDS) α-Sn interfaced with a ferromagnetic Fe layer using spin-pumping measurements. They found highly efficient spin-to-charge conversion, achieving an inverse Edelstein length of 3.14 nm at room temperature, the highest reported for such bilayers. This work highlights tuning topological material properties under magnetic proximity effects is key for spintronics.
