Minkowski Functionals of CII Line Intensity Maps: Probing Astrophysics and Primordial Features

This study uses Minkowski Functionals (MFs) to analyze mock intensity maps of ionized carbon CII from semi-numerical simulations at high redshifts. It found that MFs provide tight constraints on astrophysical model parameters, even with noise expected from the CCAT survey. Crucially, the method shows promising sensitivity to non-standard primordial features like a bump in the power spectrum.
