A minimal model for the Weyl nodes and Fermi arcs of PtBi 2
This work develops a minimal symmetry-based model for trigonal PtBi2 to bridge microscopic calculations and phenomenological descriptions of its Weyl nodes and Fermi arcs. It uses Density Functional Theory results to construct a low-energy Hamiltonian, incorporating spin-orbit coupling to describe node evolution, annihilation, and the resulting spin-momentum locking on the surface states.
