By constructing a 'circular Kraus ensemble' from scattering matrices, researchers derived a discrete-time quantum master equation for transferred charge. Numerical solutions compared favorably with closed-form RMT predictions based on an equipartition rule conjecture, providing insights into charge transfer statistics and reciprocity breaking.
