Towards automatic digital garment assembly
The research presents two learning-based AI models to automate digital garment assembly from 2D patterns. The sewing model uses a Transformer to predict complex sewing operations like seams and hems based on segment features, while the arrangement model predicts panel assignments and placement coordinates for drape simulation. These methods allow automatic creation of simulation-ready 3D garments.
