Nonlinearity management of matter-wave vector solitons of Bose-Einstein condensates in two dimensions

This study investigates how managing mean-field nonlinearity in two-dimensional vector matter-wave solitons prevents their collapse. By rapidly modulating inter-species coupling terms, a repulsive effective quantum pressure arises that arrests collapse, leading to stable vector solitons. This mechanism prolongs the soliton's lifetime significantly compared to unmanaged systems and suggests experimental feasibility.
