How Do Emotions Spread And Affect Decision-Making In Social Networks? An Opinion Dynamics Perspective
The model uses a Laplacian-based flow to show how emotions spread through social networks via emotional contagion and influence decisions. It found that agents with similar emotions eventually reach agreement, leading to consensus or multi-partite consensus in complex-weighted networks. This framework provides a mathematical way to study how collective emotional states drive group opinions.
