Minimal superfluid vortices in chiral perturbation theory

This work uses leading-order chiral perturbation theory to study minimal superfluid vortices in a pion condensed phase. By analyzing the free energy, it determines the conditions for vortex nucleation and stability. The results show that these vortices behave like standard quantized vortices in a superfluid, characterized by specific radial dependencies and quantized angular momentum.
