Chiral Valence-Bond Solid and Chiral Triplons

Authors propose a chiral Valence-Bond Solid (VBS) state that spontaneously breaks inversion and mirror symmetries, characterized by an electric toroidal (ET) monopole. They show this chirality manifests in spin-split triplon bands with enantiomer-dependent textures. This handedness is directly detectable via neutron scattering by observing sign reversals in the imaginary off-diagonal components of the dynamical spin structure factor.
