Amora: Communication-Efficient Private Approximate Nearest Neighbors Search
Amora is a communication-efficient Private Approximate Nearest Neighbors Search (PANNS) system that drastically cuts online communication by 93–99% compared to existing methods while maintaining high search accuracy. It achieves this by using a dual-PIR split layout, graph partitioning, and smart batching techniques to shift the cost model from per-vertex to per-partition.
