The stellar-to-halo mass relation of central galaxies across three orders of halo mass
This study measured how much stellar mass central galaxies have relative to their host dark matter halos across three orders of magnitude in halo mass ($10^{12}$ to $10^{15} M_ ext{odot}$). Using X-ray data from eROSITA and SDSS photometry, researchers found the relation peaks around a halo mass of $M_{ ext{halo}} ilde{ imes} 10^{12} M_ ext{odot}$. This peak suggests that stellar growth efficiency is maximized at this mass, with a decline in stellar fraction at higher masses due to factors like AGN feedback.
