Star Formation across the Galaxy
The ALMA2040 facility aims to resolve star formation across all scales, from massive molecular clouds down to protoplanetary disks, throughout various environments in the Milky Way up to 10 kpc. Current tools are limited, so this next-generation facility is needed to understand how gravity, turbulence, and feedback regulate star birth across cosmic time.
