Probing topology in thin films with quantum Sondheimer oscillations

Quantum Sondheimer oscillations (SO) are used to directly probe band topology in thin films by encoding information about full Landau level spectra into their frequency, unlike standard Shubnikov–de Haas oscillations. The study shows that the dominant peak frequency distinguishes between topologically trivial and nontrivial band structures, proving that band topology is directly encoded in the oscillation frequency.
