Exemplary Merging Clusters II: XMM-Newton and Chandra X-ray Observations of MACS J1752.0+4440 and ZwCl 1856.8+6616
This study compares two galaxy cluster mergers, MACS J1752.0+4440 and ZwCl 1856.8+6616, using deep X-ray data from XMM-Newton and Chandra. Despite having similar radio relic separations, the clusters show different dynamics. MACS J1752 exhibits clear shock features at one relic while ZwCl shows asymmetric temperature differences, suggesting they are in distinct merger stages.
