MicroVision: An Open Dataset and Benchmark Models for Detecting Vulnerable Road Users and Micromobility Vehicles
The MicroVision dataset provides open images and labels for detecting vulnerable road users (pedestrians, cyclists, e-scooterists) and stationary micromobility vehicles in Gothenburg, Sweden. It addresses gaps in existing datasets by capturing scenes from a user's perspective. Benchmark models show promising detection accuracy, enabling traffic safety systems to distinguish between active riders and static obstacles.
