A small cognitive core explains human behavior at scale
The CORE model combines established cognitive principles into a single framework to predict human choices across many experiments. It processes natural language transcripts by converting them into phonemes and using a hierarchy of memories where context dictates encoding, retrieval, and forgetting. This small cognitive core reproduces 75% of reported behavioral effects when simulated, suggesting that basic cognitive mechanisms explain much of human behavior.
