Setting requirements on out-of-band rejection for next-generation CMB experiments. Application to the LiteBIRD instrument
The study determined stringent out-of-band rejection requirements for next-generation CMB experiments like LiteBIRD by modeling instrument response and sky emissions. The analysis showed that detection chain effects, specifically increased detector noise and poor component separation, drive the most demanding requirements. The highest attenuation factors needed are for high out-of-band power (AH).
