Memory effects in repeated uses of quantum channels
The study analyzes quantum state transfer (QST) when a quantum channel is used repeatedly without resetting it. It derives an exact formula showing that small errors in readout timing create detrimental 'memory effects' that negatively impact the fidelity of subsequent uses. This means repeated use of the channel degrades its performance over time, even if individual uses are good.
