Certified Bounds on the Measurement Cost of Molecular Hamiltonians

Estimating quantum expectation values requires many measurements, which is costly. This work introduces a certificate-centered method to find the minimum required measurement cost for estimating molecular Hamiltonians using repeated preparation and measurement. It uses optimization techniques to provide verifiable lower bounds on the sampling route, ensuring that the chosen strategy is provably efficient.
