Emergence of Physical Intelligence via Controllable Information Production
Controllable Information Production (CIP) is a new intrinsic motivation method that frames physical intelligence as controlling information production rather than relying on external rewards or arbitrary variables. It uses Kolmogorov-Sinai entropy to measure controllable complexity, unifying intrinsic motivation and optimal control theory. This approach shows that physical intelligence emerges when systems are driven toward the edge of controllable chaos.
