SURF: Steering the Scalarization Weight to Uniformly Traverse the Pareto Front
SURF addresses how uniformly sampling scalarization weights fails to cover a Pareto Front (PF) evenly. It uses the geometric idea that solutions traverse the PF at non-uniform speeds to derive a cumulative distribution function (CDF). SURF then uses this CDF to select weights, ensuring each weight corresponds to an equal arc-length segment along the PF, leading to much more uniform coverage.
