Featurized Occupation Measures for Structured Global Search in Numerical Optimal Control
Numerical optimal control is split between complex HJB methods and local trajectory optimization. This work introduces Featurized Occupation Measures (FOM), a finite-dimensional interface connecting these methods. FOM uses HJB subsolutions to guide the primal search while residuals refine the certificate, enabling structured global search by shifting complexity from state space to interconnection topology.
