Trustworthy AI Must Account for Interactions
Trustworthy AI aims to align AI with human values through five core aspects: Fairness, Privacy, Robustness, Explainability, and Uncertainty Quantification. The paper systematically reviews every pair of these aspects and finds that improving them in isolation causes unintended negative trade-offs. The conclusion is that holistic research accounting for all interactions is necessary for achieving true trust.
