Disorder and the Robustness of Superconductivity on the Flat Band
This study investigated how on-site disorder affects superconductivity on a quasi one-dimensional flat band lattice using the attractive Hubbard model. The main finding is that flat band superconductivity is robust against disorder; the critical disorder strength needed to destroy superconductivity remains finite and proportional to the clean system's superconducting weight. This transition follows a BKT scaling form.
