Enabling Deterministic Passive Quantum State Transfer with Giant Atoms

This research demonstrates how giant atoms coupled to 1D waveguides can achieve deterministic, passive quantum state transfer. By engineering the positions and strengths of multiple coupling points, researchers can design a time-reversal-symmetric wavepacket. This method boosts transfer fidelity significantly—reaching over 99% with ten or more coupling points—showing that complex time control can be encoded into the physical device design.
