Autonomous Code Migration for Quantum Programming Languages: A Case Study with QED-C Benchmarks

Researchers tested if AI models (Opus, GPT, Gemini) could autonomously migrate thirteen quantum benchmark methods from Qiskit to CUDA-Q. The agents successfully generated satisfactory ports with minimal human help and drastically reduced migration time. The study found that a multi-agent approach and distilled model skills significantly improved performance on new tasks.
