Static spin exchange-correlation kernel of the uniform electron gas at finite temperature
This study uses variational diagrammatic Monte Carlo to determine how temperature and momentum affect the static spin exchange-correlation kernel for a uniform electron gas. Findings show that at low temperatures, it matches known ground-state models, but heating suppresses its minimum. The kernel becomes nearly local on the Fermi scale at high temperatures, providing crucial data for finite-temperature spin response theories.
