Error-Corrected Memory and Logic on a Heavy-Hex Superconducting-Qubit Processor
The research tested strategies to improve error correction on a large superconducting qubit processor by addressing hardware defects and leakage errors. By using defect exclusion, noise-informed decoding, and post-selection filters, they significantly reduced logical error rates in both memory and logic operations, showing a clear path toward higher fidelity quantum computation.
