Robotic-supported Data Loss Detection in Android Applications

The work proposes R-DLD, a robot-assisted infrastructure for detecting data loss issues in Android apps by interacting directly with phone sensors during orientation changes. The system successfully identified 341 data loss issues across 77 apps, which developers confirmed as relevant bugs. This method offers a less invasive and more realistic testing approach compared to simulators.
