XED: A Multilingual Dataset for Sentiment Analysis and Emotion Detection
XED is a multilingual fine-grained emotion dataset combining human-annotated Finnish and English sentences with projected labels for 30 other languages. It uses Plutchik's core emotions plus neutral to create a multilabel classification task. Evaluation shows XED performs comparably to existing datasets, making it useful for sentiment analysis and emotion detection across many low-resource languages.
