PSI-SINDy: Post-Selection Inference for Sparse Identification of Nonlinear Dynamics
PSI-SINDy is a new method to reliably check if terms found by SINDy are statistically significant when using noisy data. It solves selection bias and measurement errors by splitting the data into four independent views. This allows for exact statistical tests on related variables, leading to better control over false discoveries than standard methods.
