Quantum interference between spectral bandwidth mismatched photons
Researchers demonstrated two-photon interference between photons with different spectral bandwidths using an electro-optic time lens. This device converts a broad signal photon's spectrum to match a narrow reference photon's spectrum, increasing visibility from nearly zero to over 63%. This breakthrough allows non-classical interference without needing external spectral filters, opening paths for hybrid quantum communication.
