Characterization of the CSST Survey Camera CCDs: I. basic electro-optical performance
This research characterized 31 flight-model Charge-Coupled Devices (CCDs) for China's Space-station Survey Telescope (CSST). It established a performance baseline, confirming that all detectors meet or exceed specifications for high sensitivity. Key findings include a full-well capacity over 80 ke− and median readout noise around 3.6 e− rms, validating their suitability for the upcoming large-area survey.
