FLoRa: Flight-Assisted Data Collection from Duty Cycling LoRa Nodes under Energy Constraints
FLoRa is a hierarchical optimization framework for UAVs to collect data from LoRa nodes while respecting strict energy limits. It uses Simulated Annealing for path planning, CMA-ES for finding optimal hover positions, and POMDPs to decide when and how to probe nodes. The goal is to maximize the freshness of collected data under limited battery power.
