Testing Central Structure for Complex Networks
The work introduces a network-level hypothesis test using the adjacency spectral radius to determine if a complex network has a statistically identifiable central structure before ranking individual nodes. The test compares the observed connectivity strength against randomized null models, showing that increased central structure strength leads to lower p-values, indicating statistical significance.
