PPG-Bench: A Unified Benchmark for PPG Foundation Models
PPG-Bench creates a unified benchmark to test five public PPG foundation models across nine datasets and 26 tasks. It compares these models against simple baselines like random chance and known controls like Pulse-Rate Variability features. The results show current PPG foundation models often fail to provide a meaningful advantage over these simpler alternatives, suggesting they lack strong general-purpose representations.
