Squeezing-Enhanced Rotational Doppler Metrology
The research developed a quantum protocol to estimate a rotating surface's angular velocity using light's rotational Doppler effect. By using squeezed and displaced Laguerre-Gaussian modes, the method achieved Heisenberg scaling in ideal conditions. Crucially, this squeezing-enhanced approach outperformed classical methods even in noisy environments by optimizing resource allocation.
