The power of unentanglement without destructive interference
This research explores StoqMA(2), a complexity class combining stoquasticity and unentanglement to study proof systems. It shows that this combination yields better upper bounds than previously known for related classes like QMA(2). Key findings include $ ext{NP} ot o ext{NEXP}$ for $ ext{StoqMA}(2)$ under certain conditions, revealing a connection to optimization algorithms and showing that quantum-inspired randomness can shorten unentangled proofs.
