Analog quantum simulation of phi 4 field theory with a superconducting transmission line

The authors developed a superconducting transmission line to analog quantum simulate $(1+1)$-dimensional $\phi^4$ field theory, a model describing interacting scalar fields. They showed the line can emulate both single-well and double-well potentials. This allows for simulating particle scattering and topological kink collisions in real-time, providing a non-perturbative route to studying complex quantum field dynamics.
