Researchers studying the MACS0600 cluster, nicknamed the Anglerfish, used X-ray and radio data to reveal a massive merger event. The study shows a dense cool core surviving intense collisions and uses redshift measurements to reconstruct the system in three dimensions, suggesting gas structures are more resilient than previously thought.
