Gen-EBM: an energy balance model for terrestrial planets. Climate multistability from snowball to post-runaway greenhouse climates

The Geneva Energy Balance Model (Gen-EBM) is a new 1-D model used to study how planetary rotation, eccentricity, and thermal inertia affect climate stability on terrestrial planets. It incorporates different climate states from snowball to post-runaway greenhouse regimes, revealing that rotation rate and orbital eccentricity significantly alter the existence and stability of these climate attractors.
