A Rydberg atom array coupled to a high-cooperativity optical cavity

The research integrated Rydberg atom arrays with a high-cooperativity optical cavity to combine local entanglement operations with long-range photon coupling. They successfully suppressed electric field noise from cavity actuation, allowing for fast, nondestructive ground-Rydberg state readout within the atomic lifetime. This opens pathways for networked quantum processors and mid-circuit measurements in analog simulators.
