The Markov Marginal Problem for Density Operators

This work investigates when local quantum marginals can be combined into a global quantum state satisfying a specific Markov property. It shows that this is possible only if a trace-one condition, Tr(T(R)) = 1, is met. This condition acts as an exact obstruction to classical graphical models in the noncommutative setting.
