Universal recovery in approximate quantum error correction
The paper investigates universal recovery in approximate quantum error correction (AQEC), showing that a single recovery map can simultaneously correct every channel within a defined error set. It quantifies performance using two distances—environment-leakage distance for worst-case and Knill–Laflamme Hellinger distance for average-case—and proves the existence of a universal map that provides uniform guarantees across all controlled channels.
