An updated model of neutrino emission from proto-neutron stars

This model improves how neutrino emission from proto-neutron stars is calculated by including convection and the changing neutrinosphere radius during early emission. By analyzing simulated supernova data, the study shows that neutrino mass ordering dictates which astrophysical parameters can be constrained. The results allow researchers to probe the Equation of State (EoS) of the star through future supernova observations.
