Non-Hermitian Skin Effect from Radiative Coupling in a Reciprocal Chiral Medium

The study investigates how long-range radiative coupling in a passive chiral medium causes an unusual non-Hermitian skin effect in a chain of dipoles. Chirality creates polarization-dependent phase shifts, leading to degenerate boundary modes localized at opposite ends. The resulting spatial profile has both exponential and logarithmic decay components, and finite chains show a contraction toward the standard Bloch spectrum while maintaining extensive boundary localization.
