Grid2Guide: A* Enabled Small Language Model for Indoor Navigation
Grid2Guide is a navigation framework that uses A* search to find paths on a map and then uses a Small Language Model (SLM) to turn those paths into easy-to-read, human instructions. It converts floor plans into grids, finds the shortest route algorithmically, and then generates natural language directions for users. This provides accurate, real-time indoor navigation without needing external signals or complex infrastructure.
