Localization with Hopping Disorder in a Quasiperiodic Synthetic Momentum Lattice

The study investigated how hopping disorder affects quantum transport in a quasi-periodic synthetic momentum lattice using an 87Rb Bose-Einstein condensate. The findings show that hopping disorder generally enhances localization and smooths the sharp transition between localized and delocalized states in the model. Spatially correlated disorder induces partial delocalization near strong bonds, while uncorrelated disorder also enhances localization.
