Simulating cavity QED with spin-orbit coupled Bose-Einstein condensates revisited
Spin-orbit coupled Bose-Einstein condensates can mimic a single atom coupled to a cavity field, realizing the quantum Rabi model analog. However, they fail to capture genuine collective many-body entanglement characteristic of the Dicke model because asymmetric couplings involving relative motion modes cause destructive interference that cancels collective squeezing.
